The EDA

Your Community, working for you

What Is An EDA?

An EDA, or Electoral District Association, works as a local branch of the NDP to promote a candidate for the riding they are in. Aside from fundraising, your local EDA promotes the NDP through social media, door knocking, phoning and emails, as well as organizes events to raise awareness.

While anyone can work on an EDA, the main members are the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Members at Large within the executive. These members vote on important decisions related to policy and how to take action within our community to support our candidate.

What We Do

The EDA meets on a monthly basis to discuss issues, policies, and outline priorities for the organization. We welcome diverse opinions and encourage open participation.
